Shop for Baggage/Non Baggage Fares
Background
Agents will be able to shop for Offers based on Cabin, Fare type preference by passing it in the AirShopping request. When requested for Offers in Economy cabin, AirShopping returns both ‘Hand Baggage’ only fares and ‘Checked Baggage’ fares. However, few agents regularly ask for ‘Hand Baggage’ only fares as they are generally cheaper and preferred by few customers, in such scenario agents do not want to get back the full list of offers in Economy that also includes ‘Checked Baggage’ fares. Similarly, few agents prefer to receive offers with ‘Checked Baggage’ fares as they deal with non-business customers who need offers with ‘Checked Baggage’.
Currently NDC only supports shop by Cabin & Fare type preference. This new feature is to extend that capability to shop for Offers by Baggage preference.
The offer options below (Option1 and Option 3) will refer to the sample options below under 'Samples for Baggage/Non Baggage Fare Labels

Limitations
- If Agents ask for Baggage preference and Fare preference, Baggage preference takes precedence.
- If Agents ask for ‘Hand Baggage’ only fares plus Flexible fare type, we will get error as we don’t have flexible HBO fares.
