1. Issue Future Travel Voucher

 Book with Confidence

 Ability to cancel a booking and issue a voucher

Background

As part of British Airways Book With Confidence policy, customers have the option to request a credit voucher, which can then be used as part payment towards a future booking to any destination. Within the NDC APIs, you can now request a Future Travel Voucher.

Prior to the launch of this feature, this was an offline process whereby agents would either have to contact British Airways NDC Trade Support or request a credit voucher issuance via the Credit Voucher Issuance Webform.

                OrderReshop                           OrderCancel

Future Travel Vouchers are issued by the OrderCancel API, this process is the same in both Live and Pre-live. The agent must add the following parameters into their OrderCancel request:

<OrderCancelParameters>
      <Reason>BWC</Reason>
</OrderCancelParameters>

Full technical specs available here: OrderCancel RQ

The API will then issue a Future Travel Voucher, using the original ticket numbers.
